Lake Kivu: Nkombo from hopelessness to hope

Valentine a woman from Nkombo in her traditional boat in the way to Bukavu. the city in 20 km from her village. She told us that she accepted to take risks of some accidents that can happen into the lake. She said ' this is how we survive, you can not let your kids die in your eyes,you accept to take risks" this risky woman moves inside the lake without an jacket to help her resist when an accident happens. but she is happy for her tiring job of selling small fishes here and there but especially in Bukavu. she is the Rwandese.
